Understanding Your SOE Requirements
If you're a new Citation type-rating holder, your certificate likely carries operating restrictions under 14 CFR 61.64. Here's what that means and how Kent can help you fly unrestricted.
14 CFR 61.64(f) Restriction
SECOND-IN-COMMAND REQUIRED
If you received your type rating with fewer than the required experience thresholds, the FAA may restrict you to operations that require a qualified second-in-command (SIC) until you build adequate supervised time in type. Kent serves as your SIC mentor pilot, flying right seat while you build proficiency and log the hours needed to remove this limitation.
14 CFR 61.64(g) Restriction
SUPERVISED OPERATING EXPERIENCE
This restriction requires you to complete a specific number of hours of supervised operating experience before you can exercise single-pilot PIC privileges. Kent provides structured SOE programs designed to meet and exceed these requirements — building not just the hours, but the real-world proficiency and judgment that keeps you safe when the mentor seat is empty.
Training Programs
Focused exclusively on Citation operations. Every program is built around your aircraft, your avionics, and your operating environment.
Citation SOE Mentoring
Supervised Operating Experience for single-pilot Citation operations. Right-seat mentor pilot to meet 14 CFR 61.64(f) and (g) requirements. Structured programs from 25 to 50+ hours, tailored to your experience level and insurance requirements. OPW qualified on all types.
Citation Type Ratings
Initial and upgrade type ratings across the Citation CJ family (CE-525/A/B/C), Mustang (CE-510), Citation I (CE-500), and Citation II/Bravo (CE-550). Real aircraft time, not just sim. Checkride prep with DPE coordination.
Recurrent Training
Stay proficient with comprehensive recurrent training tailored to your Citation variant and avionics suite. Proficiency checks, scenario-based training, and systems review from an active line pilot who knows the aircraft inside and out.
International Ferry Flights
100+ Atlantic and Pacific ocean crossings. International and domestic repositioning, deliveries, and long-range ferry operations. HF comms, ETOPS planning, customs, overflight permits — handled end-to-end.
Your Cockpit. Your Systems. Your Mentor.
Kent is qualified and current on the specific avionics suites installed in the Citations he mentors. SOE training is conducted in your aircraft, on your avionics — not a generic sim panel.
Kent holds a current FlightSafety Pro-Card for the CE-510 and CE-525 and has extensive instructional experience in glass cockpit and digital autopilot systems. Whether your Citation has Collins Fusion, Proline 21, or Garmin avionics, your SOE training covers the full avionics suite — not just the airframe.
Aircraft & Type Certificates
OPW (Open Pilot Warranty) qualified on every Citation type Kent trains in. Your insurance underwriter can confirm coverage.
Kent's focus is the single-pilot CJ/Mustang/M2 family and the classic 500/550 line. Contact him for SOE, initial, or recurrent work in your variant.

Testimonials
Hear from pilots who have trained with Kent.
Kent's depth of knowledge across Citations is unmatched. His practical, no-nonsense approach to SOE training made me a genuinely proficient single-pilot operator, not just a guy with the restriction removed.
Having an American Airlines captain in the right seat changed everything. Kent doesn't teach to minimums — he teaches to the standard he flew at the airline. The difference shows.
Kent ferried my CJ2+ from California to Italy. Flawless execution — permits, customs, fuel planning, HF comms — all handled. I'd trust him with any ocean crossing.
